Dr. Shabir Hassan
Cofounder and Academic HeadDr. Shabir Hassan is an Early Career Investigator at Harvard Medical School, Associate Bioengineer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and also holds a position as Assistant Professor of Biology at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. During his PhD, he developed novel nano- and micro-materials conjugated with proteins to study their folding and aggregation kinetics, and their photothermal effects for cancer therapy. He has won many awards for his academic and research excellence. Some notable ones include Certificate of Merit for academic excellence from University of Kashmir, Department of Biotechnology Fellowship from the Government of India, Endeavour Award from the Australian Government, two consecutive awards in Early and Advanced Mobility grant categories from the Swiss National Science Foundation for his scientific endeavors at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School, and the University of Twente, Netherlands, as a collaborating Institution. In 2019, he was awarded Excellence in Mentorship from Harvard Medical School/BWH. In the last 5 years, his main focus of research has been devising in vitro platforms of diseases such as cancer and different tissues for drug discovery and drug delivery applications. Additionally, his interest revolves around 3D bioprinting and bioimaging platforms such as mini-optical tomographic systems for studying 3D in vitro lab models. He has published more than 45 research papers in international journals of repute. His developed mini microscope was recognized as one of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Hot Paper. He has also been instrumental for innovations in fabricating 3D self-oxygenating artificial tissues for implants in volumetric tissue losses and has delivered numerous talks including one as a resource person for the innovations in frugal imagers studying in vitro disease models at the Ramon Cajal painting exhibition in MIT museum in 2018.
He has been counseling students for more than 10 years and has been a regular feature on newspapers, TV, Radio, and Social media.
Prof Nisar Ali
Chief ConsultantProf Nisar Ali : Professor Nisar Ali did his B.A (Hon’s) in Economics from University of Kashmir in 1970, M.A in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and M.Phil and Ph.D from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He completed successful 6 training courses at National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has over 60 research publications in national and international research Journals which include few books. There are over 100 research papers which he presented at national, international and state level seminars/conferences in the country and abroad education institutions including Universities in the country as Chairperson/Member Coordinator of the national team/Peer Team on behalf of NAAC/UGC. He was Adviser, Higher Education, Jammu and Kashmir Government during 2013-14.
Dr. Muslim Jan
Media ConsultantDr.Muslim jan is ph.D in Mass Communication and journalism.She has been on the faculty as editor of the lab journal to train students to give hands-on experience of newspaper and Magzine reporting and editing besides teaching and guiding the projects to the students for 25 years she has been an editorial writer for the magzine.Dr.Muslim jan has served the university of kasmir in many roles .She has served as Coordinator /Head UNESCO Madanjeet singh south Asian Institute of Kashmir studies.She has also worked with Jamia Millia Islamia HRDC for one year collaboration programme.She has also served the University as Coordinator /Head public Relation Center .Besides that she has served as member of many important committees in the university and has been associated with social science journals .Dr Muslim jan is widely traveled and represented university at National and International forums.she has also done some international training courses during her academic career( UK,Bangladesh,Srilanka).Dr.Muslim jan has also worked in electronic media for short period before going for academics.She is also member for South Asian women in Media(SAWM)for last 15 years.She has also been engaged in Indo-Pak peace process and made presentations at national and international level .Dr.Muslim jan has mentored many students of journalism who have earned name and fame in the field of journalism .Dr.Muslim jan has interviewed many high profile dignitries of the country for her magzine and has compared many high profile progames in the university of kashmir which includes prime Minister and President of India.
